About AccuBooks
Accounting and stock in one system, for businesses that have outgrown a spreadsheet but do not want an ERP project.
Most Indian businesses end up running two sets of books: the accounting package the auditor wants, and whatever the warehouse actually uses. The two disagree, and somebody spends the end of every month working out why. AccuBooks is one system for both — a stock movement and the entry it creates are the same event, recorded once.
What it covers
- Double-entry books: chart of accounts, ledgers, journals, trial balance, profit and loss, balance sheet.
- GST end to end: rate by HSN, CGST/SGST/IGST decided by place of supply, GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B, the ITC register, e-invoice and e-way bill.
- Purchase to pay: requisition, supplier quotation and comparison, purchase order, goods receipt, quality check, putaway, supplier bill, payment.
- Order to cash: quotation, sales order with stock reservation, picking, packing, dispatch, invoice, receipt.
- Inventory that holds up: FIFO costing, serial and batch tracking, bins, transfers, physical counts and variance.
How it is built
Posted entries are immutable. A correction is a new document with its own trail, not a quiet edit of an old one — because a book of accounts that can be rewritten is not a book of accounts. Every document carries who raised it, who approved it and when.
Each company's data is isolated at three layers, so one organisation cannot read another's under any circumstances.
The manual
Everything the system does is written down, in English and Hindi, in the operating manual — around fifty thousand words covering every screen and why it behaves the way it does.
